6 DAYS / 5 NIGHTS BALIEM VALLEY EXPEDITION

Itinerary:

• DAY 1: JAYAPURA ARRIVAL –FLY TO THE BALIEM VALLEY RESORT (TBVR) WAMENA
  Welcomed in Baliem Valley Resort, continued with a Villages Tour around Wamena including the traditional market.
• DAY 2: TBVR – KURIMA – TBVR
  Day trekking passing sweet potato fields in Sogokmo, to Kurima through charming natural scenery.
• DAY 3: SALTSPRING, KURULU-MUMMY TRADITIONAL DANI HAMLET
  One hour walking-tour uphill through a beautiful mountain-rainforest to the salt spring of Dani Clan accompanied by native women with traditional clothes demonstrating the old way of the salt making. Then continued to Kurulu to see the famous ancient Dugum Mummy.
• DAY 4: TBVR – JIWIKA – TBVR
  Full day watching the traditional Pig Festival (pig cooking) with hot stones performed by the Danis.
• DAY 5: WAMENA – JAYAPURA
  Having transferred to Sentani Indah Hotel in Jayapura, a full day sight seeing tour including Mac Arthur 2nd World War Monument, Sentani Lake and its small islands, and Hamadi Market.
• DAY 6: JAYAPURA – DEPARTURE
